I have been at the driving range quite a bit lately getting reading for the club championship. I have come to some conclusions about practice. You can practice by constantly beating the same club over and over again or you can try this..... You can pick your regular course and play every shot you would have on your course starting with the first hole. You won't putt but if you can think about the course it will help you prepare for the next time you are on the course. A lot of people go to the range and hit ball after ball out into the great wide open..... no target, no goal, no focus.... to me this is a waste of time, effort and money. Make good use of your practice time. If you can relate your practice session to a round of golf you will have to take your time and switch clubs, knowing that you only have one swing with that club it is likely you will focus and make a full effort swing.....
Good luck out on the rat range and don't forget to work on your short game....
